Stainless steel Rolex Oyster case, twist back, waterproof, 40mm diameter, rounded crown-guards, downturned lugs.
Original bi-rotational bezel with MK3bis fat-font insert, and original pearl.
Original silver date wheel, with open 6's and 9's.
Case maintains the original polished finish with factory chamfers still visible.
Original matte black dial with applied patinated luminous plots, white radial indexes, in excellent condition.
Printed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date" with Coronet logo below 12 o'clock and "Submariner, 660ft=200m, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" print at 6 o'clock.
Original Mercedes hour, sword minute and lollipop seconds hands with patinated luminous infill.
Original Rolex screw-down winding crown.
Original tall plexi crystal with cyclops.
Rolex calibre 1575 automatic winding movement, unserviced and in working order.
Original Rolex stainless steel 93150 folded link bracelet and clasp with 580 end links. Matching VC (1978) clasp code.
Bracelet flip clasp does not close.
Acquired from the son of the original owner, a Canadian educator, mathematician and hobbiest diver, who purchased the watch new in 1980.
