A rare and fine Omega Automatic Seamaster, reference 2577-12 SC with U.S.M.C Provenance.

 

Stainless steel case, screw-in back, Seamaster inscription, waterproof, 34.50mm diameter, oversized faceted downturned lugs. Case maintains the original polished finish.

Inscription to rear "R.W.H - 068678 - U.S.M.C".

 

Original tropical aged silver dial, with applied silver arrow indexes, Breguet numerals to quarters and luminous plots, in good condition. Printed "Omega Automatic" with applied silver Ω logo below 12 o'clock and "Seamaster" print above 6 o'clock.

 

Original gold toned dauphine hands with luminous infill.

 

Original Ω signed naiad crown.

 

Replacement hesalite plexi crystal.

 

Omega Caliber Ω 354 automatic winding movement, recently serviced and in good running order.

 

Brand New Leather band with steel buckle.

 

The original owner has been identified as Richard Willi Hawthorne (Service Number 068678) a Captain enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. [Identified in the Lineal List of Commissioned and Warrent Officers of the Marine Corps Reserve, 1st Sept 1964].
